ASOG TBI engages global tech talks in Cebu

The ASOG Technology Business Incubator (ASOG TBI) took part in Geeks on a Beach (GOAB) 2025, an international technology and startup conference held from October 1 to 3, 2025, at JPark Island Resort, Mactan, Cebu.

Now on its eighth edition, GOAB gathered innovators, entrepreneurs, investors, and policymakers from across the Philippines and abroad to engage in candid conversations on technology, startups, and design.

With the theme “Building a Resilient Future with Technology,” this year’s conference examined how global disruptions, including geopolitical shifts and the rapid rise of artificial intelligence, are reshaping the startup and innovation landscape.

Sessions explored practical ways technology can be leveraged to support growth and stability, while encouraging participants to refocus, rebuild, and renew as they navigate an increasingly complex digital economy.

GOAB 2025 unfolded over three days, beginning with masterclasses on October 1, followed by the main conference on October 2 and 3.

The masterclasses featured two dedicated tracks: Artificial Intelligence and Business and Startup Team Development, offering hands-on learning opportunities. The broader conference included workshops, networking and pitching events, product demonstrations, breakout talks, and collaborative activities designed to foster meaningful connections within the innovation ecosystem.

ASOG TBI was represented by Ms. Rachelle Ann Hernando, TBI Manager, and Mr. Vencel Angelo Sanglay, Creative Technologies and Digital Engagement Officer.

Their participation supported the incubator’s ongoing efforts to stay engaged with global technology trends, strengthen partnerships, and bring relevant insights back to the local startup community.
