ASOG TBI, SLSU TBI exchange insights, commit to future collaboration

The DOST-CSPC ASOG Technology Business Incubator (ASOG TBI) conducted a Virtual Cross-Learning Activity and Coordination Meeting with the Southern Luzon State University Technology Business Incubator (SLSU TBI) in collaboration with the Innovation and Technology Support Services Office (ITSSO).

The SLSU delegation was represented by Dr. Jennifer Edytha J. Lagrazon, Center Chief and Manager of SLSU TBI; Dr. Renato R. Maaliw III, ITSSO Director; Mr. Giehway R. Liwanag, Science Research Specialist of SLSU TBI; and the rest of the SLSU TBI team.

Meanwhile, CSPC was led by Dr. Challiz D. Omorog, Vice President for Research, Innovation, and Collaboration, together with Ms. Cherry Lyn M. Odsinada, Project Leader of ASOG TBI, and the incubator’s members and staff.

Throughout the activity, SLSU TBI outlined its journey toward becoming an institutionalized university center, highlighting the systems and practices that have supported its growth.

In turn, ASOG TBI presented its incubation program and introduced its inaugural cohort of startups, providing an overview of the incubator’s current projects and direction.

The discussion also provided an opportunity to exchange approaches to common administrative concerns, particularly in intellectual property management, policy development, and the operational aspects of managing a TBI.

With SLSU’s expertise in agriculture and CSPC’s capabilities in artificial intelligence and engineering, both institutions identified several opportunities for partnership. The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to formalize a mutual engagement and pursue co-incubation initiatives for technology-based startups.
